Domain Name no-no’s… Interview with a Domain Name Lawyer.
With so many TM’d domains being registered everday I wanted to post this great video for everyone to see and learn from. Probably the best video available on this subject.
Domain Parking, A new look!
Noomle , a new way to look at parking domain name industry, a very effective way to not just profit from your adsense and yon revenue but building the presence of your domain name in search engine as a miniwebsite , and compete to gain a nice SERP (Search engine rank position) , which will result driving traffic/revenue to your minisites.
It is totally deferent than traditional parking systems, a full page with xml paid links is not the solution that will guaranty a durable revenue, with the time the traffic decreases and that results to decreasing in revenue, the only possible way to keep up is to have a valuable content, and a nice design looking like a website, that can be crawled, indexed & linked to.
even participate in advertising programs like adwords, overture, to bring traffic to your minisite etc…along with other great features that you can find in Noomle control panel.
Noomle was developed from a simple personal need , and grow in private , until January the 12th in 2009 when it was released as and official parking system for free, in the idea of gathering the best domainer, developers and members to contribute codes, development, ideas, articles, pictures, funds etc… to make all members profit from it for free.
So if you like to join and you like the idea of sharing witch is the idea internet was based on , come and join us at www.Noomle.com it is all free.

Part 1 - Domain value
First I will say that generally most domain names are really only worth what an enduser or reseller is willing to pay. (nothing new)
so here are just a few things that come into play when looking to appraise your own domain names. the Domain Extension plays a big role, dot com domains so far have proven to be more favorable and more valuable then .net’s or .org’s the Domain Length is also in play when dealing with domain names and as a rule of thumb shorter is almost always better. however nowdays a 10 character domain is pretty normal for length, so you just gotta live with it and make sure your using good keywords. do research on your keywords using google or yahoo. The best way is look at sites like Sitepoint see what simular names or sites have sold or are selling for & try and come to a meeting point.
Where should I advertise?
I have found that using adwords works great, expensive but the ROI was decent. Banner exchange sites also work nice and almost all are free. also emailing individual site owners and asking for free link exchange also works great. I have never tried it but from what I have read game sponsorship is also another way to get a nice ROI but also expensive (more on that later). I will cover more on banner exchange soon. Directory submission is also another good way to get your site name out. Just remember when you submit your site give a nice long description. another great way to find inexpensive ads are searching forums you can almost always find a decent deal. BTW: there is no such thing as getting easy free traffic fast. you need to work hard at making your site successful.
Holidays are gone!
well the holidays have come and gone and finally I have a chance to sit down a few minutes and write some things, I hope you all got every gift you asked for.
it’s been a few weeks since I updated the site but now that things have calmed down around here I will be updating on a regular basis. many more things to cover. I have a few interviews lined with arcade webmasters that are sure to bring a few new and refreshing ideas. I will also be getting things geared up to have the first LIVE! Arcade Talk.
External SEO For Your Blog
There are numerous methods of optimizing your blog beyond your website:
Submit them to do-follow web directories, article & RSS (Really Simple Syndication) directories. Blogs need all the backlinks they can get, and the more exposure you have on directories, the better; in terms of both gaining traffic and SEO.
Recommend your blog posts to blog readers at online communities (especially blog networking communities). Weblogs are informative and many bloggers enjoy reading other people’s blogs. Large blog communities exists online, and they are great places to showcase your blog. Anyone enjoying your articles will most likely add you to their blogroll and this is highly beneficial to your site.
Participate in link exchanges with similar niche blogs.
Social bookmark highly informative posts. Friends in your network will be able to view your bookmarks and if they enjoy reading your posts they might be convinced to bookmark it too.
Enable trackbacks & pings.
Start a PPC (Pay Per Click) ad campaign.
A blog is one of the most simplest platform to promote because it has a limitless capacity to be optimized both internally and externally.
Internal SEO For Your Blog
First and foremost, it is important to have a large number of quality blog posts. Many of your competitors will have countless information on their blogs so it is imperative for you to match up or better yet, surpass them. Blog posts should have a considerable amount of relevant keywords and tags. Remember to stick to your niche. For example, if your blog is about Search Engine Optimization ensure that most if not all your blog posts are within the same niche.
Another important optimization method is to have SEO-friendly links. The Wordpress open source software now has this built-in as an option. Links that have e.g. readable words on them instead of the classic strings of numbers and punctuation marks are considered “SEO-friendly” links, which perform better on the SERPs (Search Engine Results Page).
